Program Registered Contractor

The Program Registered Contractor (PRC) network has been established by BC Hydro and FortisBC to support contractors in the residential retrofit business. Our focus is on supporting contractors making energy efficient heat pump and insulation upgrades.

Who can Join?

Heat pump and insulation contractors supporting residential retrofit customers who meet the following minimum requirements may apply:

2 years in business
Must have BC business license and WorkSafeBC Certificate
General liability insurance

Steps to join the Program Registered Contractor network

Register Your Company
  1. 1 Complete the online application and complete online training best practice training
  2. 2 Your installations will undergo site visits to ensure they follow industry best practices
  3. 3 Firms meeting eligibility requirements will be invited to become PRCs
